Note: The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has given full approval for the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for use in individuals 16 years of age and older and the Moderna vaccine for use in people 18 years of age and older.
The Pfizer vaccine continues to be available for individuals 5 through 15 years of age under the FDA's Emergency Use Authorization. The Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine is available for use in individuals 18 years of age and older under the FDA's Emergency Use Authorization. The emergency use of these products is only authorized for the duration of the COVID-19 emergency declaration that circumstances exist justifying the authorization of emergency use of the medical product under Section 564(b)(1) of the Food Drug & Cosmetic Act unless the declaration is terminated or authorization revoked sooner.
